Woodwork

Woodwork is the process of building, making or carving something with wood. Many items can be made from wood, and because of that, woodworking is a major thing. Many people have made a great living by getting into woodworking at full force.

Woodwork has been around for centuries, and will continue to flourish. Knowing how to work with wood can save you money on home repairs also. Historically, woodworkers relied upon the woods native to their region, until transportation and trade innovations made more exotic woods available to the craftsman.

Woodwork woods can be sorted into three basic types: hardwoods typified by tight grain and derived from broadleaf trees, softwoods from coniferous trees, and man-made materials such as plywood and MDF.
